Military & Family Readiness Specialists are located throughout Idaho, to serve the needs of Service Members and their Families by providing Six Essential Services. Whether PRE-, DURING- or POST- deployment, they offer information and referral service to all Service Members and their Families, regardless of branch of service or duty status.
These essential services are provided by a team of Support Specialists in regions across the state which include the following:
Legal Resource & Referral
- Assistance with Power of Attorney/Wills
- Information and assistance with Service Members Civil Relief Act
- Assistance with referral for ESGR
Financial Counseling, Education & Readiness
- Debt Reduction, Credit Creation & Credit Repair
- Financial Education & Training Briefings
- Military Benefits & Retirement Planning
- Security Clearances & Litigation
- FREE In-Person & Virtual Financial Counseling Service
Tricare Resource & Referral
- Provide general information on insurance benefits
- Assist with Tricare Medical and Dental applications
- Assist with finding local participating providers
- Assist with challenging claim denials
ID Cards and DEERS
- Provide information on DEERS Rapid Centers
- Assist with obtaining and ID Card
Crisis Intervention & Referral
- Provide assistance with the following
- Domestic Abuse
- Child Abuse/Neglect
- Danger to Self and/or Others
- Abuse/Neglect of a Vulnerable Adult
Community Information & Outreach
- Provide a list of local community resources including, but not limited to the following:
- Child care resources and referral
- Referral to a local financial resources
- Help finding a local Family Readiness Group to assist with Family Readiness
EFAC (Emergency Family Assistance Center)
- Provide information, referral, and follow-up to service members and their families during an emergency event (i.e. natural and/or man-made disaster situations), provide comfort and support in regaining normal functions of individuals to lessen the impact of the event.
EFMP (Exceptional Family Member Program)
- Connect with ARNG EFMP Program.
- Assist with EFMP Application.
