266th Range Squadron
The 266th Range Squadron is an Air National Guard tenant unit located at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. Currently, the 266th Range Squadron is composed of more than 130 National Guard members. The 266th Range Squadron is responsible for providing superior electronic simulations of ground-based air defense threats on the Mountain Home Range Complex (MHRC) and beyond. Additionally, the squadron provides Command and Control, Ground Control Intercept, and datalink management through the Air Operations Center for the MHRC.


Our Mission

The 266 RANS supports the DoD with world-class threat emitter training and air battle management for US and coalition warfighters, to include 5th gen platforms. Relying on ingenuity and constant customer contact, the 266 RANS has employed real world tactics beyond traditional electronic threats to deliver a top-notch service. The 266 RANS continuously deploys globally to bring electronic threats to the warfighter.
