Brig. Gen. Shannon Smith Assistant Adjutant General-Air: Brigadier General Shannon Smith
Brig. Gen. Shannon Smith is the Assistant Adjutant General-Air, Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho. As the Assistant Adjutant General, he ensures the continued readiness of more than 1,200 Airmen supporting both the State and Federal mission. He is responsible for formulating, developing and coordinating all policies, plans and programs for all units assigned to the Idaho Air National Guard, which includes the 124th Fighter Wing equipped with A-10s and the 266th Range Squadron.

Lt. Col. Daniel G. Benfield is the Director of Staff, Idaho Air National Guard, Joint Force Headquarters, Boise, Idaho. In this role, he serves as the principal advisor to the Adjutant General and the Assistant Adjutant on a broad range of matters concerning the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. He is responsible for diversified staff functions including Operations, Aircraft Maintenance, Logistics, Information Systems, Manpower and Personnel, Public Affairs, Recruiting and Retention, as well as providing ready Airmen to respond to stateside emergencies when called upon.

Chief Master Sergeant Joshua L. Zimmerly State Command Chief: Command Chief Master Sergeant Joshua L. Zimmerly
Command Chief Master Sgt. Joshua L. Zimmerly is the State Command Chief of the  Idaho Air National Guard. He is the senior enlisted advisor to the Assistant Adjutant General-Air.
