- Retiree Appreciation Date(s) – See Events
Retiree Appreciation Days, also called RADs, are a great way for retirees to get information regarding what is going on, what is coming up, what is being proposed – at state and federal levels. These events are hosted by the branch of service’s Retirement Service Office or Retirement Activities Office. Organizations that offer services to military retirees are invited to speak at the events and/or to provide information and answer questions for retirees virtually or in-person. You will often find speakers from the base or post hosting the event, the Idaho Department of Veteran’s Services, TRICARE, MEDICARE and many other organizations who serve retirees. Each event is slightly different depending on which organizations can attend; please check with the hosting office for a list of speakers and attendees.
- Retiree Social – See Events

If in the Gowen Field / Boise area, the retiree social is held every third Wednesday from 4:30pm until they close the door at the Rally Point, Bldg 710 on Gowen Field.
